Dec. 14th Film Screening in Norfolk

On Friday, December 13th at 6:30pm, join us at Eleanor’s Bookstore (806 Baldwin Ave, Norfolk) for a screening of Icebox, a moving film about Óscar, a 12-year-old boy from Honduras fleeing gang violence. Detained in a U.S. immigration facility, he experiences the harsh realities of the immigration system. Produced during Trump’s first term, it provides a glimpse into what the next few years may look like for immigrants.

After the screening, stay for a brief discussion about its themes and why they matter now more than ever, as well as how you can help.
